What is service like?
At Northside Church of God, our services are designed to provide a casual, friendly atmosphere where you can encounter God’s presence in a meaningful way. Our Sunday morning service begins with guest parking located near the Main Entrance. We also offer coffee and snacks before and after the service (from 10:00-10:30). Our sanctuary has dimmed lighting to create a worshipful and peaceful environment. You’ll experience live worship that seamlessly blends contemporary and traditional styles. There is always time to pray by yourself or with someone at our altars.
Will I be expected to give money?
No tithes and giving are a spiritual issue, not an economic one. No one will be watching to see if a new person puts money in the offering plate. If you feel moved to give, you won’t be denied the opportunity. Instead, as our members grow spiritually they work to exercise all facets of their faith, which includes giving back to God a portion of what he blessed to them.
How often do you take communion?
Our church chooses to take this monthly and sometimes at additional special times. Communion is a vital form of our worship. We practice it in remembrance of what Christ has done for us.
Are there nursery and children services available during the Sunday Service?
Yes, we have nursery (0-3 years) available from 9:00 through the worship service. Families sit together initially, then children are excused to go to their age-appropriate service, prior to the Pastor’s message. If you have an excited Pre-K toddler during the worship service, you’re welcome to check them into the nursery.
What should I wear?
If you’re comfortable and clothed, you’ll fit right in whether you’re dressed up or dressed down.
Should I bring a Bible?
Sure, but we have backups! We project the scriptures from the Pastor’s message on a large screen and Bibles are also provided in the seating.
